There are certain tools created in co-operation with international organisations in order to make qualifications from different systems of education transparent and more understandable for higher education institutions and employers and to therefore ease the recognition of these qualifications.


Those tools include:

The creation and implementation of these tools in the European Region have been very much related to the Bologna Process.


According to the Directive 2005/36/EC, within the EU countries there are national contact points that can give you information on the recognition of your professional qualifications and guide you through the administrative formalities you need to complete.
