Recognition of Qualifications held by Refugees

French ENIC-NARIC initiatives

The French ENIC-NARIC has implemented a specific procedure for the recognition of qualifications held by refugees and people in a refugee-like situation (asylum seekers). This procedure is based on the Lisbon Recognition Convention (LCR) recommendations, under article VII – recognition of qualifications held by refugees, displaced persons and persons in a refugee-like situation.

Applications for recognition of refugees’ qualifications are dealt with as a priority and they are free of charge.

The French ENIC-NARIC participates actively in the meetings and events on the recongition of qualifications held by refugees, displaced persons and persons in a refugee-like situation.

CIEP organised on 10th March 2016 a national conference on this specific issue addressed to HEIS and other stakeholders (ministries and NGOs), with the following title: "Recognition of refugees' qualifications: what procedure for an appropriate and flexible recognition?"
