The UMAP Credit Transfer Scheme (UCTS)
UMAP is the acronym for the organization called University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific. UMAP was founded in 1993. It is a voluntary association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education (university) sector in the region. UMAP aims to achieve enhanced international understanding through increased mobility of university students and staff.

APEC EDNET - Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Education Network
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Education Network is a single entry point to activities and resources sponsored by APEC to improve education in the Asia-Pacific region. The website serves as a gateway for APEC economies to share their vision and knowledge across common education topics and jointly participate in advancing education across the region. The site is designed to provide educators and students in the region with direct links to one another and provide access to information and resources so as to better coordinate efforts to improve education and reduce duplication of effort. The site provides access to research-based information and practices that support the APEC Education Ministers' priorities.

Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP)
This association exists to promote cooperation between universities of the Asian & Pacific region. It administers various programs designed to improve university management and teaching practices, and aid collaborative research activities and the internationalization of universities in the region. There is little information for students available here.

Education Asia Network
This is a regional network of education consultants with member offices in several Asian cities. They provide information and advice about educational opportunities worldwide to individuals such as students or working adults. They also offer services to institutions (mainly colleges and universities), including advice and support regarding marketing and student recruitment. Their site contains information on their services, as well as some university profiles.

Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO)
This is an international organization whose purpose is to promote cooperation in education, science and culture in the Southeast Asian region. They provide assistance to member countries in the form of policy advisement, programme design, institutional development, staff training, and learning materials design. The site includes a digital library with information on SEAMEO and other resources in various fields i.e. agriculture, arts, education, medicine, science and social science. There is also a section on opportunities for scholarships, fellowships, awards and employment, as well as SEAMEO programs in distance education, exchanges, conferences, internships, etc.

UMAP - University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific
UMAP is a voluntary association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education (university) sector in the Asia-Pacific region. They aim to achieve enhanced international understanding through increased mobility of university students and staff. Their site includes information on available scholarships, the Credit Transfer Scheme, the Leaders Program (summer undergraduate course), exchange programs and other activities.

University Mobility in the Indian Ocean Region (UMIOR)
This is a voluntary association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education (university) sector in the Indian Ocean region. Their site provides information on staff and student exchange programs between member universities, and contact information for some universities in the member states.
